When: Friday 16 – Monday 19 October 2026 · Hope Cove, South Devon
Perfect For: Solo Traveller, Two Friends or a Couple Sharing
Picture this: it’s mid-October on the South Devon coast, the summer crowds are long gone, and the clifftops have turned soft and golden. You’re staying in a boutique hotel just a stone’s throw from the water, with nowhere to be and nothing to prove - the whole weekend stretching ahead, unhurried and entirely your own.
If you’ve never been on a wellness retreat, it’s hard to picture what the days actually hold. “What does a typical day look like?” is the question we’re asked most at Zenaa Retreats - so here’s a walk through it. No two days are quite the same, but each is shaped around the same intention: to move your body, nourish your mind, reconnect with yourself, and breathe in the wild beauty of the Devon coast.

A Coastal Home to Call Your Own
Our home for the retreat is Hope Cove House, a beautiful boutique hotel reserved exclusively for our travellers and set just a short walk from the beach. With ten en-suite bedrooms and views out to the rolling waves, it strikes the perfect balance of comfort, style and seaside charm. In your downtime, curl up with a book, watch the light change over the water, or step straight out onto the South West Coast Path, which runs right from the doorstep.

A Gentle Start to the Morning
Mornings begin quietly. No blaring alarms, no rushed commute - just the sound of the sea and the crisp autumn air. Wake early for a coffee looking out over the cove, journal by the window, or enjoy a few uninterrupted moments before the group gathers for yoga.
We begin each full day with a generous 75-90 minute dynamic yoga workshop, designed to build strength and clarity while leaving you refreshed rather than exhausted. Sessions are suitable for all levels, whether you practise every week or haven’t stepped on a mat in years. Beginners are always welcome, with plenty of guidance and modifications throughout - and each day is gently closed with a slower, restorative evening practice before dinner.
Long, Leisurely Mealtimes
After morning movement comes a favourite part of the day: breakfast. Meals here are a special time - wholesome, nourishing food prepared by our private chef using local Devon produce, shared around the table with stories, laughter, and second helpings.
We take a balanced, fad-free approach: no juice cleanses, no pressure. Just long, leisurely mealtimes and incredible seasonal dishes to be savoured.
Salcombe & the Coast Path
Some of the most memorable moments happen entirely off the mat. Together, we’ll take guided walks along the rugged South West Coast Path, breathing in the fresh sea air as the coastline unfolds around us. One afternoon, we head to the charming harbour town of Salcombe for a guided walk, lunch out in one of its lovely restaurants, and free time to browse the boutique shops and soak up the estuary views.

At Zenaa, it’s all about balance: movement and stillness, nourishment and joy, connection and solitude.
Wild Sea & Sauna
For those who want to feel truly alive, there’s the option to add our signature Sea & Sauna experience - a guided swim in the sheltered waters of Hope Cove with a sea-swimming professional, followed by a private sauna back at the hotel to warm up. It’s the Devon coast at its most invigorating, and one of the moments guests talk about long after they’ve gone home.

Slow Afternoons & Space to Breathe
One of the most special things about a wellness retreat in Devon is the spaciousness of the day. Unlike a packed sightseeing holiday, retreat life gives you something rare: time that’s simply your own. Afternoons are left intentionally open - read by the window, walk down to the beach, book a massage, or do nothing at all.
Evenings Made for Connection
As evening arrives, the pace softens. Gentle yoga, mindfulness or meditation before dinner helps everyone transition into a calm evening as the sky turns over the water. Then comes another shared meal - good food, warm conversation, and the easy company of a small group.

Connection is at our core. It’s during these times that strangers become friends: no distractions, shared experiences, and the time to properly talk and listen.
Is a Wellness Retreat Right for You?
Many guests arrive nervous - especially if they’re travelling solo or new to yoga - but that uncertainty quickly melts away. Zenaa Retreats are for the “yoga curious,” the seasoned yogis, the burnt-out professionals, the busy parents, and anyone craving a pause from everyday life. Solo travellers are warmly welcomed - come alone, or with a friend or partner - and the atmosphere is relaxed, inclusive, and judgement-free.
Come with an open mind, and you’ll leave with laughter, stories, and a whole gaggle of new friends.
A Retreat That Stays With You
The most surprising thing about a wellness retreat isn’t the schedule - it’s how different you feel afterwards. Guests leave lighter, calmer, more energised, and more connected to themselves than they’ve been in months. Not from one dramatic transformation, but the accumulation of simple things done well: nourishing food, meaningful connection, movement, sea air, rest, and space to breathe.
If you’re dreaming of crisp autumn mornings, clifftop views, restorative yoga, incredible food, and a weekend that lets you properly exhale, our Devon Retreat is waiting for you.
