The Devon retreat is held at Hope Cove House, a boutique venue in the idyllic seaside village of Hope Cove on the South Devon coast. The South West Coast Path runs from the doorstep, and the charming harbour town of Salcombe is a short journey away. It's roughly 4 hours from London by car or train via Totnes.
The wild sea swimming is an optional add-on, guided by a professional sea-swim instructor. You'll swim in the sheltered waters of Hope Cove, followed by a private sauna session back at the venue to warm up. It's suitable for confident swimmers of all levels, and wetsuits can be hired locally if needed.
Yes — the Devon retreat is one of our most solo-friendly options. We offer a range of single-occupancy ensuite rooms starting from £899pp, plus shared options for female solo travellers from £649pp. Many guests come on their own and leave with new friendships. Reviews consistently describe the warm, inclusive atmosphere.
The Salcombe trip is a half-day excursion included in the retreat. We take a guided walk through Salcombe's harbour and estuary, then enjoy lunch out at one of the town's lovely restaurants (lunch cost is not included in the retreat price). There's free time afterwards to browse boutique shops and explore the town.
For an October retreat in Devon, pack layers — coastal weather changes quickly. Bring walking shoes or trainers, swimwear and a towel (for the optional sea swim), comfortable yoga clothing, and warm layers for evening yoga and dinner. A packing list is sent to all guests roughly one month before the retreat.
